There are many reasons to join Kent College Canterbury, please find here an overview of why you should be part of the Kent College community.
Kent College is situated in a delightful 80 acre semi-rural location adjoining 200 acres of ancient woodland. The idyllic campus overlooks the historic city of Canterbury and is within 55 minutes of London and its airports. Kent College is part of the Methodist Independent Schools' Trust though it happily welcomes pupils of all faiths, and none. It is renowned as a particularly friendly and welcoming school with a strong community feeling.
The high expectations of the school mean that pupils of all ages are given every opportunity and support to achieve academic excellence. The school is regularly placed in the top 100 independent boarding schools for its academic achievement. The International Baccalaureate Diploma runs alongside A-levels in the Sixth Form. The school's IB results consistently place it in the top 10 nationally.
The thriving Junior School is set in the home of Victorian landscape artist Thomas Sydney Cooper, who spend much time and money developing the glorious gardens in which our children can play. 14 acres of idyllic gardens provide the 200 pupils wth dens and climbing frames, a stream and outdoor amphitheatre as well as a swimming pool, tennis courts, astro pitch and a sport field.
We have a small but very comfortable Boarding House within the main building, and welcome full, weekly or occasional boarders from the age of seven upwards. With London under an hour away, our boarding package can include accompanied travel to and from St. Pancras at the weekends allowing a happy balance for busy London living families.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all members of staff to share this commitment and abide by the safeguarding policy in place.
